Weekend Backpack Program

Districts will need to locate one or more schools in their area that participate in the Weekend Backpack program. Notify the school program administrator and he/she will give you a list of non-perishable items and backpacks that he/she needs for students who might otherwise not eat from lunch on Friday until breakfast on Monday. Each district can provide backpacks, food, and/or monetary gifts to the schools. Each chapter will be notified by their District Director as to which items their chapter should bring to the district meeting.

This is such a worthwhile program and I know that none of us wants any child to be hungry because when he/she is hungry, he/she cannot achieve to his/her potential in school.

Please bring your items to the district meeting to be distributed by your District Director to the school of your choice.
